Beginners’ Courses
There are 4 courses for adults and one for juniors this year. They will run in June and July and will be held at the Royal Richmond Archery Club ground in the Old Deer Park, 187 Kew Road, TW9 2AZ. Each course will run for a total of four consecutive Tuesday or Thursday evenings. Dates are below. Please wear comfortable/warm, close fitting clothing as baggy jumpers can impede the bowstring.
We would like you to get here a little earlier than the scheduled start time, particularly on the first day, as we need to kit you out with the right bow, correct arrow length and so on. This can take a little time, so getting there early means we have more time for shooting.
Adult Course Dates:
Sessions start promptly at 7.00 p.m. and run to approx. 8.30p.m. each evening, depending on weather and light conditions

The entrance gate to the archery ground is adjacent to the Lion Gate entrance to Kew Gardens, and you may drive in and park your car on the verge near the club house, which you will find on the left of the driveway. Shooting takes place in the field on the left. All equipment is provided for the duration of the course and, if you decide to join the club (but see below), you may continue to use club equipment for shooting at the club grounds for the remainder of the season.
